History
When
Rohan O’Reilly, Founder of Alternative Foods Company, was 12 years of
age he became dairy intolerant. This was shattering news for a young
boy who was passionate about ice cream. From this day on he vowed
vengeance and Rohan made a promise that one day he would create an
alternative.
And that he did. In 1996 Alternative Foods Company was formed as an R+D Company developing a unique formula technology and experimenting with different branding, packaging and positioning concepts.
Revenge, so they say, is a dish best served cold and after a decade experimenting in his kitchen, the brand MOTOTO was launched in 2006. This dish is a radical new type of ice cream based on rice. As for revenge, the MOTOTO brand is partly payback to ice cream manufacturers for his childhood addiction to the sweet stuff and pleasure from seeing food-sensitive kids tuck into a treat that they cherish and that won’t hurt them.
